Of all the things in here, that WW2 era Jeep still working and being able to climb up the cliff, I 100% believe that. Those things are so reliable and lightweight oml

One Easter egg I really liked was the montage scene where the characters interact with each other, referencing the actors’ past roles. For example, they play chess as a nod to Anya Taylor-Joy’s The Queen’s Gambit and play the drums, referencing Miles Teller’s role in Whiplash.

good movie... it's refreshing to see both mcs are alive and not dead due to self-sacrifice.

Why the fuck would there be mines to defend a fence, and the mines themselves blow up said fence.

The creature design is so freaking cool in this: how often do we get nature-inspired monsters and body horror? I had assumed this movie was going to be about like, the Gorge being the entrance to Hell or something. So your standard "creepy demon-y" looking baddies. But this is so much cooler.

finally a movie that does a female character right. she's not a damsel in distress she's not a girlbossing mary sue who "doesn't need a man" she's an equal part of the duo who pulls her own weight and saves her partner while he does the same for her. they even did her fight scenes pretty accurately to how a female soldier would fight, getting overpowered in physical confrontations, especially against male opponents or in this case mutated opponents, thus needing to rely on tools, weaponry, the environment and combat knowledge to win her fights.

A prequel won't be a bad idea, focusing on the 2,400 soldiers on horses that never got out!

You know, upon closer inspection it looks a lot like you'd imagine a garden of Nurgle from WH40K...

Don’t get me wrong it is watchable, but you do have to suspend your logic, the monsters are muted humans you would simply run out of monsters claiming out over 83 years, and what do the monsters eat, and what is stopping birds picking up infected material and literally flying out and they have infinite weapons with no one dropping supplies

Hey, that church was the same one in Hellboy: The Twisted Man. Glad they got to reuse the set.
