Ending words :... 'they were !!! '. The final nail to the coffin.
This is such a classic scene!! They don't make such memorable scenes in movies anymore...
Vinny is actually the one who noticed the tire marks and entered the photo into evidence, thus saving the boys.
The judge is great, he's keeping control of his courtroom and it's all official, but he has very human reactions and he speaks to the witness like a normal person.
Complex mechanical illustration is so beautifully comprehended here... I got no cars or car knowledge, but I still got that!!
The neck roll & side-eye was........brilliant.
That pause after "never", talking about the Corvette, is absolute killer. The most perfect pause in the cinema history
Her little nods at 1:12 are killing me, absolutely not letting the point slide. Why don't they make fun, well-made movies like this anymore?
I'm impressed with Mona Lisa's expertise. But I am equally impressed with the fact that (a) the prosecutor was able to pull that trick question right out of his sleeve and (b) that Vinnie obviously had already come to the same conclusion like Mona Lisa because otherwise he wouldn't have built his whole defense around that photo with hundred percent confidence. In other words, he wouldn't even have needed Mona Lisa's testimony to begin with and could have given the evidence all by himself. Of course we are happy that he decided otherwise, or we would have missed the incredibly gorgeous Marisa Tomei in the witness stand. :-)
I love how her entire expression and demeanor change from the time she's shown the picture to till Vinny.walks away.
Marissa Tomei deserved every accolade she got for this movie. She played the part so well you felt like it wasn’t scripted and that she actually knew what she was talking about. Her explanation of the torque wrench being certified dead on balls accurate “it’s an industry term” cracks me up.This is a fantastic movie and an excellent cast. Even the stuttering public defender was great 😄
I love the side comments... "So would I.." "That's right!..."
This scene and her acting made the whole movie, so the oscar was well deserved.
Marisa Tomei made the movie. She deserved her Oscar.
Her Oscar for this role was so well earned.
One of the best written, directed and acted scenes ever. Truly fantastic.
A well deserved Oscar won by Marisa Tomei for her performance in this movie!!
One of the funniest and best movies ever!
what an instant classic this movie was back in 1992 (when I was16) - a sentiment I whole heartedly maintain to this day.
i love how this scene shows just how much he values his fiancée. you see the flirting in their eyes when she says "you're wrong" the way he swoons over her passionate monologue about cars and then also makes a show of "look how kick-ass smart my woman is!"
