its literally stuff like this that makes me love animation brah, its genuinely an honor to be able to watch this like WOWW 😭😭
It was an honor to voice Isaac. Congratulations on completing this gorgeous film ❤❤❤
nah, as somebody who learned the guitar just to play it to my sister, had me in tears. I LOVE ANIMATION
really love that the third man isn't portrayed as a bad person or a villain, but just as an antagonist, he looks evil because he's meant to represent an antagonistic figure in the animation but that doesn't mean he's actually bad, he takes time to talk the kid at first and then takes time to listen to his song, just a very beautiful use of a character. Also, I wish I could listen to the song from the kid somewhere :D
That was an entire Studio Ghibli movie in 7 minutes, impressive.
So beautiful! Having a hard time accepting that this is the last time we can expect a yearly short film from you! It’s been so cool getting to see your films evolve and it’s been super inspiring as a anim student myself! Thanks again for the small part in helping on this film as a colorist! I can’t wait to see what you make next!!!!
I really like that the car man isn’t just an evil scrooge. He’s probably a (scary looking) businessman who, while probably greedy, still is receptive to beauty. He was probably genuine in his belief that the brother is gonna earn a lot of money, and that it’s a good thing
The artstyle, the gestures, the energy in each character, the composing, THE FRICKING BABY SHEEP. everything is so well done, this is insanely impressive❤️ THIS IS WHAT ANIMATION WAS MADE FOR
As someone who, for over the last decade, scoured the internet for my favorite animated short films, this one hits the spot. Great work
'How many sheep?' All the sheep
Can't even describe the emotion conveyed during that climax, it's so powerful it made me cry. What a beautiful animation.
as a younger sibling you know damn well im bawling my eyes out. what a stunning piece of art
this is so beautiful Luke I’m so honored to have been able to go to Calarts at the same time as you. You are an amazing filmmaker and I know you’re gonna make waves in the industry 🙏
holy algorithm pull this looks so incredible i genuinely hope u win like 20 oscars
Oh my god, this is the first animation in such a long time to fill me with such emotion. I was crying at the end of it!! You are so talented!!
I knew this was going to be amazing from the minute you showed us your initial boards in the labs and the title alone makes me cry…being able to see the end result of all of your hard work was such an incredible experience. SHEEP FILM IS REAL!! YOU ARE AMAZING LUKE never ever ever stop!!! You inspire us all:) We will miss u in A221!!!
there's a clear difference between your skills as an animator in technique and in emotional story telling in comparison to your previous work. amazing progress.
Literally after it ended, the only thing I could say before I just started crying was “Bro…🥺” [obviously didn’t say the emoji, but I did make that face basically-] cus that was literally so beautiful what the actual heck
I love how Issac’s music initially was just open chords compared to his brothers more complex and mature style of playing. Another detail I loved was when Isaac finally started playing what he wanted to it started off with the same open chords initially, finally transitioning to more blues style/scale, which any guitarist knows is the first thing you noodle with freely improvising as a beginner on their music journey. Lots of love and thought went into short well done <3
I love the design of the car man. And the shot of the car man and Joseph amidst the sheep too, with the herd looking like a huge audience. Very beautiful, wonderful animation!
