Today I went to buy gold in Istanbul, Turkey πΉπ· to see what the process is really like and how much gold actually costs. I visited multiple gold shops around Istanbul, compared prices, asked questions, and tried to find a place that felt trustworthy before making a purchase. Gold shopping in Istanbul is very popular, but it can also be confusing if you donβt know what to look for. After buying the gold, I didnβt just take it at face value, I decided to test it myself to see if it was real. Using different methods, I checked the weight, looked for signs of authenticity, and went through the process step by step. This video shows the real experience of buying gold in Istanbul, including prices, what to expect, and how to check if what youβre buying is genuine. If youβre planning to visit Istanbul or thinking about buying gold in Turkey, this gives you a full and honest look at the process. #Istanbul #Turkey #Gold #TravelVlog #Shopping

I sold all my gold 11 years ago; I should have kept it.
Regarding 15:00 for clarification, gold is not "Ferromagnetic" which means gold will not be picked up by a Neodymium Magnet as would be iron, pure nickel or pure cobalt. On the other hand, gold is "Diamagnetic" and will be slightly repelled by a Neodymium Magnet. The Diamagnetic Test for gold is performed as follows. Attach a Neodymium Magnet to the end of a string or a hollow plastic straw. Suspend it over the gold. The Neodymium Magnet pendulum should swing around the gold, because it is slightly repelled. Furthermore, if the Neodymium Magnet pendulum should be slightly attracted to the metal then this could indicate "Paramagnetism" such as with Tungsten which is hidden inside fake gold to deceive gullible buyers who do not know how to test for gold.
The smaller gold you buy ie 1g v 20g the more premium you pay
Searching for 1g in Turkey brings me back to when Iβd have a bit of a messy sesh on holiday in Turkey ππ
The acid test only tests the outer layer. Doesnt tell you anything about the inside. Better do a weight/volume test and even then it could be tungsten on the inside. A bent test could tell you more about that but of course its a bit destructive.
Hoping you make the money back in views from this video β€ππΉ absolutely loved the video & canβt wait to see more! π
Hi Max .. enjoyed your video..looking forward to seeing the silver one..have a great week ahead β€x
Regarding 14:29, to properly test the density of gold, you need two measuring devices. You need digital calipers to measure the size of the gold item for its length, width and thickness in millimeters. You also need a digital scale capable of weighing to 0.01 gram precision to verify its weight is indeed 1.00 grams. The digital calipers needs to measure for example: length of 14.7mm, width of 8.8mm and thickness of 0.4mm. Next multiply 14.7mm x 8.8mm x 0.4mm to get 51.77 cubic centimeters. Next divide 1.00 grams by 51.77 cubic centimeters = 19.32 grams per cubic centimeters which verifies its density is indeed that of pure gold.
Yes max the Gold trader lol
If you want to buy gold or Silver best to have a trading platform and buy and sell it there. You can buy as much as you want and can be bought and sold when you want. If you buy physical gold you always loose when you sell to shops since they want to make profit again.
they cant sell fake gold in grand bazaar bcuz if that happen police arrest them. and these guys never can open shop again there. thats why all Turkish coming to buy gold or dolar euro from grand bazaar. and their price always cheap than normal exchanges.
πThe only thing I bought in the grand bazar was the gold testing kit, it has been very useful. Lol I wouldnΒ΄t dare buy gold in Turkey. Great video my friend keep SMILING itΒ΄s all about the fun and travel π€ β€ππ
Turkey has very good gold. I bought exactly two 2-kilo gold bullion bars from that bazaar in 2013, and I wish I could have bought more.
Regarding 15:43, the 21.6 karat gold test acid bottle contains a combination of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid. 21.6 karat gold and 24 karat gold and pure platinum will not be dissolved by it.
Brilliant video, as always β€ xx
