You can really see the effort Eala put into this match. This was the best I've seen her hit her groundstrokes, especially given the consistent depth, accuracy, and heaviness of the shots coming at her. Rybakina was playing well enough, not at her ruthless best, but she managed Eala well. Had Alex brought this game to her most recent lopsided loses against Mertens and Noskova, she very well could have won or made those matches much more competitive. But Rybakina is just on another level, even when operating at I'd say 65 - 70%

Rybakina is the cleanest ball-striker on the tour, so much power and efficiency (and no grunt lol)

Rybakina has added something new to her game, the down the line shot. She used to keep going cross court till it was an easy down the line. Now she is hitting it very early in the rally. Impressive.

This is Eala's best performance on clay this season. Hopefully, this will build her confidence and make a deep run at the French Open but all that would depend on the draw. Elena's game was a tad off today. She made several uncharacteristic mistakes but it could also be possible that Eala kept her returns deep when hitting away from Elena and low when hitting to her. Elena dumped the ball in the net almost every time the ball kept low and out of her hitting zone. Eala still needs to work on her game and her conditioning. Hopefully she won't draw Muchova or Noskova in the early rounds Eala's game doesn't match well against them

Rybakina was playing so effortlessly😍. Eala had to work hard for every point, and that made the match so interesting. I think we're seeing a better version of Eala on clay🩵

Way to go Alex. Having played against one of the top in WTA is already an accomplishment, that's besides the fact that you are only on your 2nd year in WTA. This game is charge to experience. You did not give that victory without a fight. That's our girl. 💪🙌👏 And ignore people complaining about your grunting. If that's how you get your focus and energy, then let them worry, not you, because you are the one who's on the court , not them.

rybakina forehand is thunder and such a weapon. i have not seen her hit as many forehand down the lines as she did in this match.

Rybakina is like Pete Sampras but our Alex also played well. Congratulations to Rybakina.
