As a Romanian, I’m very happy that you’ve come to our country. I’m sorry about the strange experiences you had while hitchhiking—the region where they happened (southeastern Romania) is actually known for being a bit sketchy and a bit dangerous. Mrs. Popi is a true example of the real Romanian identity: hospitality, generosity, and warmth. I also recommend visiting urban areas: Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Sighișoara, Timișoara, Brașov. Im Valachian from east Czechi (east moravia). Some of us are descendants of romanian shepherd migrants from past by some sources. We also do homemade plumb usually 55% alcohol called Slivovice and many traditional things are quite similar.. We Czechs are biggest beer drinkers in a world, but I bet Czech Valachia could easily match Romanian alcohol consumptons, when I grew up and before that too.

Next time, don't show your documents to anyone who asks for them. That guy could be a scammer who can use your details for a consumer credit loan. First, they have to prove that they are law-abiding people, only then can you give them your documents if they ask for them. If you want to see beautiful cities in Romania, you should visit Brasov, Sibiu, Sighisoara, Oradea, Cluj, Timisoara. Also Iasi is a nice city if you are still in Moldova region, you can visit it.

I'm loving this educational spin you're putting on the videos, it makes them even more fun to watch! I totally get how it feels wanting to explore less known parts, there's something special about it. The locals there tend to be less jaded and more excited about foreign visitors. I just stayed in one of the poorer parts of Manila for about a week, and it was honestly such a great experience. You get to meet some amazing people! Even with the negative experiences it's worthwhile.
