In regards to birthdays, we have a little birthday tradition where nobody is allowed to work on a family members birthday, and school is very much optional. Like you said, if they want to go to school and have cake with their friends, go for it! However, if you want to go to the zoo instead, I'm cheering. 😂 You only get so many birthdays with your children, especially while they are little.
