When i was young a friend of mine showed me a trick with a yamaha dt 50 . If you push your motorbike backward in neutral then pass the first gear then when you go you go backway.

the reason this happens is because the ignition is at a wrong timing a normal ignition point is before the top dead center if the timing gets past the top dead center it can run backwards

It's actually pretty common in 2 strokes,the best way to fix it (personal experience) is like a computer,you turn it off then on again and it should go forward again

A two-stroke engine can run backwards if the combustion process is disrupted by a phenomenon called pre-ignition, causing the piston to be pushed downwards before reaching top dead center (TDC) while still in its upward stroke. This causes the crankshaft to rotate in the opposite direction.
