He saved it for sure, but he was also driving with esc sport on. If you look close that little orange wording on the bottom left of the tach says ESC Sport. The car helped to stabilize as well

I used to slide my grand prix all the time, in slick conditions I could send it full lock around a corner with a tap of the brakes and recover at the perfect time with the throttle. Driving fast in a fwd is a completely different animal than a rwd but it's still really really fun

I've done it in my Veloster N and Elantra N. The rear end isn't hard to step out with these even though they're FWD, it's just usually a little more controllable lol.
