NBA players going to the NFL is exponentially easier than the other way around. Not even a logical way to debate this

Put it like this. We appreciate NFL players for putting their body on the line. We appreciate NBA players for their skill.

Antonio Gates has pretty much solidified this argument. Standout at both sports in HS, played NCAA basketball (no colliege football whatsoever). When he realized he wasn't going to the NBA, decided to try out for the NFL, tried out, and became a HOF TE. Now... name a story with an NFL prospect that didn't make it that did well in the NBA?

If you donβt have a consistent jump shot and you are under 6β10. You are most likely not going to make an nba roster. I mean you canβt make the nba today if you donβt have the ability to make a 3 point shot consistently while simultaneously being under 6β10. People under 6β10 are obviously in the league. They can reliably make 3 point shots however. That skills gap would prevent the overwhelming majority of nfl players from transitioning into the nba. You need to be able to make 3s consistently unless you are a center in the nba.
One statistic that stands out is the average nfl height is steph curryβs height.

I have a 8 year old who is just starting out in both sports. Football season he was the best on the field without having any experience. He scored every game. His natural athleticism and speed gave him an advantage. Now weβre 3 games into his first basketball season and he is yet to score a bucket. Playing both sports came easy to me but now watching my son I can see basketball takes a lot more skill.

NFL has more roles so itβs easier for NBA players to get into. Can find roles for Zion, Bron, Ant, Amen/Ausar, Dort, Steven Adams, Ja, Mitchell, even Curry due to how good he is moving off ball + his crazy stamina. Basketball has less roles that require high levels of skill & athleticism alone isnβt saving you in the NBA anymore

Ant is correct. I don't see any NFL player making a NBA team, but a few NBA players could probably play in the NFL. Very few though

Antonio gates is a hall of famer who only played basketball college. There drafted baseball player who played QB in the NFL like Tom Brady and Kyler Murray. There are pro Rugby players who play in the NFL Jordan Mailata. What matters most in football is athleticism.

I'd pay to watch NFL vs NBA all star game
It's almost impossible to play in the NBA
