The way that lady was repairing shoes was mind-blowing. Does anyone know if there are local NGOs specifically helping these small-scale entrepreneurs in Kibera? They have the drive, they just need the tools.

She is not repairing the shoes with toilet paper. In fact, when drying white shoes, its easy for them to stain from water retained within the fabric of the shoe if the water loss is rapid. So the toilet paper regulates that drying process thereby ensuring that the white shoe remains white.
