Everybody remembers their first time reading that first story
For me it's the writing that gives the first story away. It's perfectly written. Great pacing, engaging beginning, suspenseful middle, horrific climax, and a classic "the monster is still out there" horror trope ending. It's way too descriptive for something that happened over 40 years ago, however traumatic it may be. It's a damn good story though. I really enjoyed it
The first story is honestly shocking. That kid was messed up, and he certainly didn't become a good individual after leaving. He's got a serial killer or a mass shooter potential
Omg the first story left me speechless 😶
the first story i can always listen to it cause it’s just wow
70 years old. And he‘s writing like a damn author AND on Reddit. That HAS to be real!!😂😂
I love how the parents are like , "if our second kid is a demon, we'll just pawn him off on a foster family" hahahah
the switch up from the chinchilla one too “i’m responsible for multiple peoples death” was crazy😭 edit: holy shit thank you guys sm for all the likes
Man, I feel for the parents in the first story! Their son obviously had a mental and/or personality disorder, and there really just aren’t existing resources out there for families in crisis like this. I know, because my family’s been there. AMAZING, loving, supportive parents, and a sibling with a personality disorder who’s literally threatened to kill us all and then themselves. This is after having a chronic history of hitting/beating me, breaking stuff/destroying property, stealing prescription medications, etc. We NEED to have mental health intervention sites where the mentally unwell can safely stay and get treatment in intensive care and can learn to get on their own two feet. The mental health pandemic goes hand-in-hand with the explosion in the homeless population, as unfortunately, stories like the first one, and like my family’s, are FAR from uncommon. An estimated ~40% of current homeless individuals are debilitatingly mentally ill, and may be chronically experiencing episodes of psychosis. This is SUCH a dangerous thing for these poor souls, but also for others! Plus, I hate seeing someone with mental health issues’s guilt when they learned they’ve hurt someone in their psychosis. Everyone deserves both safety and help.
i loved the wife in the first story omg 😭🙏
the chinchilla story was sad but had a very sweet ending, even though their pet passed i think their relationship with their dad is deeper than before
these hour videos are the best, i listen to them at work and it helps the day go by faster
the first story is my worst nightmare if i where to have kids, because what do u even do in that situation? they’re needs to be more resources for people dealing w that
I love that you read this without any cuts or anything. Every now and then I catch you pause or say something incorrectly and it gives you a sense of humanity I really appreciate. Love this page!
The one with the chinchilla made me tear up man
Even if the first story is fake, it hits home because it's very similar to how I grew up with my brother. The locks on the doors, having to carry keys to our bedrooms, being threatened with knives. When you live like that for years it's so easy to just hate them
first story sounds legit. If it's not it's very well written
That cheating mom's wretched. The dad should've stayed away
Just call the cops on the crazy son, he’s 17 and stabbing a baby. Attempted murder.
