Lotion man story has one last update: OP and Kai had a very nasty fall out, after OP figured out, that Kai has been dating a married woman and was aware of her marital status from the beginning. After OP confronted Kai about it, he accused her of being "into him" and being "obsessive". Her ex husband also contacted her and they met up to talk. OP wasn't doing great at the time, so this meetup turned into ex husband basically gloating about how much better his life was- especially without her. BUT OP did find a new partner, who is as quirky and bubbly as she is and they are very happy together. He absolutely adores lotion man and expanded the family further with ketchup man, shaving cream man, etc. Glad to know OP is doing so much better now!

The lotion man story is actually devastating - like just the FIRST update made me so upset. Your wife making a little joke like that after getting out the shower is just so domestic and cute, it's one of those little moments that should make you fall MORE in love with her. She deserves someone who adores her specificity for those kind of moments and I really hope she can still make jokes like that without any baggage from this asshole and that her new partner appreciated her.

He leaves her and she immediately blames herself for making a joke, instead of questioning his behaviour and wt f is up with him.
