As a polyamorous person—NO. These misconceptions are so problematic. Open relationships do not work if a couple is on the rocks; it requires a super stable relationship with open communication. It’s not a band-aid to slap down and call it a day. And if no conversation has happened between all parties, it’s not an open relationship—it’s cheating.

This man was married, got a second gym membership behind his wife's back just so he could stalk another woman, and was still claiming he didn't do anything wrong, wasn't a stalker, and would have stayed faithful to his wife if she hadn't left him.
