You saved someone’s life by posting this, I hope you know that ❤ thank you for being so vulnerable! You never owe us anything, but we are so glad you’re here.
HANNAH!!!!! i work in mental health and this video is so important!!! im so glad you were able to get yourself the help you need, checking yourself in is NOT an easy feat! ive been watching you for years and mental health has always been a huge deal to me and honestly your videos have gotten me through some rough patches. so beyond proud of you and i hope youre feeling better 🤍
Something you said at the end really struck me: “I can’t control my thoughts, they’re just thoughts, brains do that, they think.” It’s never occurred to me that I don’t control my thoughts, this might have changed my life
“You can’t enjoy being around me if I’m not here” HIT ME SOOO HARD
“I want to live” as the last line in your journal made me cry. So brave! I hope you feel so proud of yourself. This was beautiful and vulnerable. So thankful you chose this step in your journey! 🤍
So proud of you. There are so many people who wouldn’t be willing to cancel a trip like that but you recognized what you needed to do and did it.
"I am a human healing as long as I am a human being" wow
i’m also usually a silent watcher but this is so important. as a girl in her 20s who lost one of the most important people in my life to depression - completely out of the blue - it’s so important to have convos like this. i never would have lost her if she had felt like she could talk about her illness to our family, but she didn’t, and she’s been gone for a decade and it still hurts us all, in ways i’m still exploring in my own therapy. so thank you, for talking about it, and more than anything, for still being here and fighting, even though it feels so hard sometimes ❤
Another YouTuber I watch says we should call “people pleasing” “chronic self-abandonment” because people pleasing sounds like a positive “oh whatever” kinda thing. But in reality you really are abandoning yourself and your needs to try and make others happy. Thinking of you and so happy to hear you’re prioritizing your health ❤️ you are important to so many people
Hannah, you don't owe anyone on the internet anything. Ever. You are the realest one out there and we're all so proud of you and love you 🤍🤍🤍
you could only post once a year and i know many of us would be grateful for that. i cant find the right words to say, but just know that we are all proud of you for putting yourself first. ❤
I love you soooo much and I’m so lucky to know you and that you’re here 🫂 you make a difference!!!
“I want to live” ❤️❤️❤️ Oh sweet Hannah, we’re so grateful that you’re taking care of yourself and speaking out about your experience! Your little corner of the internet is one of my favourite places! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
I’m not watching the video yet but saw the title and just wanted to comment first and say that you’re in my prayers. You may be “technically” a stranger, but it definitely doesn’t feel like it. Take time when you need it!! Sending you love and prayers and support girl!! ❤
“You can’t enjoy being around me if I’m not here.” PREACH
feeling so parasocial but thank you for sharing this deeply personal experience, Hannah. When I was seeking help for my mental health as a college student, I was so terrified because there is still a lot of stigma around “institutionalization”. Your courage and vulnerability has no doubt changed lives, and possibly saved them. Sending you so much love. I am so glad you’re here and I sincerely mean this: everything will be okay. It will be even better than you can possibly imagine!
As someone who has been admitted three times, I just want to say how PROUD I am of you 🫂💜 I know how hard it can be to ask for help, but you took the first steps to be okay. You are so loved Hannah <3 sending you the biggest virtual hug!
My son has severe mental illness. He’s 37. I called mental illness, the invisible illness. Because nobody believes that you are sick. My son is in a very bad position right now. As a mother of a grown adult, my hands are tied as far as what I can do. God bless you, Hannah you took the first step to live a healthy rest of your life. And you probably saved many lives by telling your story. I wish my son were here to hear it. Thank you and I will keep you in my prayers.
Wow - I did not expect you to say you were diagnosed with bipolar II and so casually. I was diagnosed with the same when I was 22 (I’m 28 now) and it’s always been something I kept hidden. My family and friends don’t know, other than my husband and one or two veryyyy close friends. And it’s been six years. Thank you for normalizing this. It meant more to me than you could ever know. I’m so happy this came up on my feed. Instantly subscribed.
I have been here since the what’s in my college backpack days and I just wanted to say, and I know I speak for SO many (your friends, loved ones, strangers on the internet) I am so glad you are still here ❤️ Your impact far surpasses anything you even realize. Your videos got me through some of my hardest days and your honesty about living with OCD made me feel so seen and so much less alone. I hope you can feel so proud of yourself for choosing YOU, for choosing courage, for choosing life. Because the world is a better place with you in it ❤️
