Nikki, I don’t know if you’ll see this, but when you came out with your grooming story years ago, I messaged you on instagram to vent about my own relationship. I was in middle school and it was a very inappropriate age gap. I wasn’t even self aware that it was wrong at the time. You responded to me with the most kindness and grace and I have never forgotten it every time I see your videos. I really had no one to go to when I was younger, so that small moment played a big part in my healing. Thank you for that and I’m so happy you got out of that situation. 💚

As a therapist who has worked in intensive care settings AND someone who recently watched I Saw The TV Glow (and cried like a baby next to my trans fiancée), I just want to say that I'm SOOO proud of you for getting the help you need. It takes a lot of courage to finally acknowledge, process, and address trauma that you've learned to ignore and stuff down. For anyone who's struggling in a similar way, I promise you - you are NOT alone and there ARE people that want to help. Trauma work is by no means easy, but I promise the short-term struggles are worth the long-term peace and happiness.
