Ooh LOVE! reminds me of the quote “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time” - Maya Angelou
Actions speak louder than words.
Time always reveals a person's true intention
Words tell a story actions tell the truth!
I'll be real—after finishing Hidden Codex of Wealth by Dorian Caine, my first thought was "how the hell is this book even allowed?" It straight-up ripped apart everything school, family, and society taught me about money. No fluff, no motivational clichés, just hard, raw truths you won't hear anywhere else. Now I get why this book isn't mainstream—it's too real. If you find it, grab it before it's gone.
Agree. Said this to a man recently when he decided not to make time for me but said he was still interested and “I’d tell you if I wasn’t interested anymore”. I just said if my instincts tell me otherwise, based on your behaviour, I’ll trust them over anything you say.
Just to expand from my own thoughts. I would say consider the words actions in and of themselves. The next question is why do they feel the need to lie? A lot of the time they’re being maliciously manipulative, but sometimes they mean it when they say it, but they have a hidden struggle that gets in the way. In those cases they are as upset—if not more so—with themselves than you, they’re just in an awkward corner they don’t know how to get out of. I think there are times to distance yourself from someone who is toxic, and others to embrace someone who is just lost. Let’s all try to get better at spotting the difference when we’re in a good position to help.
Actions over words, always.
Old behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour ❤🎉
100%. The proof is not the fake charm coming from one’s mouth but the truth in the actions.
As a mom with multiple unpredictable disabilities, this is why I rarely make promises to my kids. I don't want to teach my kids that there are acceptable excuses for consistently failing to follow through on your promises. If I can't be sure, then I let them know I'll do my best, or we can plan on it *as long as I'm able* ... but it's my responsibility to communicate that and not promise things outside my control! Words are easy. Backing up those words with action is much more challenging!
Ive learnt this the hard way tbh. When I was young I always wanted to believe that people actually meant what they said and that their intentions were what they said they were, that if they didn’t follow through on something they’d said they’d do, then something must have happened to prevent them from doing so. However as I’ve got older and I have gained more experience of life and people, I realise not everyone means what they say, so I’ve learnt my lesson. Now I believe that actions speak louder than words 👍
Simple, yet effective…
Very True. Behaviours speak Louder Than Words!
True, The thunder roars so loudly above I can't hear your words. I can only see your actions.
Words can lie, actions can lie, emotion/energy/vibe you feel doesn’t lie. People can do great and lovely actions to you but have secret agenda with bad intentions. If you feel a bad vibe or discomfort in your body around a person, trust it.
And If they do change for a short time, then go back to their old ways- still believe their actions.
Yeah, and it's heartbreaking
True.... Lesson ignored by other's advice is always learnt the hard way
Also, I think the more accurate formula is to believe in which is the bad one So if words are bad then believe in them If actions are bad then believe in them So for example, if a person says that he doesnt love you, but he keeps on doing acts of service. That may be due to his obligation or duty towards you from commitment rather than true feelings of love.
