3:36 saving you 3 minutes straight to the Secret TV Mode.
Where's the setting that let's us delete the bloatware included with new TVs?
Nice for people who don't know brother π There's also a setting in the newer S.M.A.R.T TV's to stop them from collecting data off you ποΈβπ¨οΈ
I knew my TV was hiding something. Didnβt expect it to have a secret boss level in the settings menu.
I once owned a LG TV that allowed me to adjust these parameters. There's an actual choice in the TV menus for doing calibrations and a tool that made the process simple for home users without the need of a professional tool. Then they stopped doing so with newer models.
This video is why YouTube was created. I want to hate you, but I just canβt. π Brilliant!
Well, this makes for an interesting change from the "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!, and here's what you can do to prepare for it" content.
Iβve known about this calibration since my first projection tv. Itβs a great idea to take pictures before you make any adjustments.
It worked on my Sharp tv. Did have to re-adjust twice before getting to it properly but this is wayyyyy better than it was before. I like it more this way and so is my wife. π
Every device I have tinkered with has hidden menus, coke machines, firmware, you name it. Some devices are locked to make you buy the next version up to get more features that are hidden on lesser versions. I hacked my TV to play videos from usb. That feature was locked. Sometimes Dolby are locked this way too. Windows OS is done this way too. If you seek , you will find. I ain't bought software for years ! π
LOL... I used to access these menus all the time for friends who just bought their brand-new TVs to calibrate their TVs to perfection for free.
MAN!!!! Thanks a lot! I found the settings code for mine and adjusted and I'm telling it's like I have a different tv. It's looking amazing now. Thanks again
On many Vizio TVs, the service/engineer menu is accessed from the TVβs physical buttons, not the normal remote. One commonly reported method is: turn the TV off, hold CH+ and CH- on the TV itself, then press and release Power on the TV, and afterward use the remoteβs Menu button to bring up the service screen.
Amazon Australia sold me the latest Skyworth Qled TV. Extremely happy, because it is the best value for money. When adjusting the Google TV settings, if we accidentally put it into the a RETAIL STORE MODE, it will explain to us that this will use more energy than usual. It then shows us how to get out of this. My exploration got into this because I was trying to unlock the Google menu, for the expert DEVELOPER MODE which exists on most Android devices.
You are unquestionably the best content creator I have come across in decades of watching YouTube. Thankyou
My 2016 Samsung SUHD has all these settings and more in the "Regular Settings" as were being shown in the video. A couple of times it showed the "Secret Menu" but didn't address anything about it. It was all the Standard User Menu where the changes recommended were made. Sham Video!!!!
DON'T DO IT ON SAMSUNG 60 INCH!!!!!! iT LOCKED ME OUT OF OTHER SETTINGS LIKE COLOR LEVEL. I HOPE A TOTAL RESET MIGHT WORK.
Nothing can make me care this much about TV.
I have a Roku QLED 65β TV and noticed itβs not necessarily like the showroom. I just figured it was because itβs not HD or UHD and felt kind of bummed that itβs not like what I saw. Does that also have the secret menu? I would think. Do you have a video about those TVs or will you be making one in the future because Iβm subscribed to your channel and would love to know this.
Careful not to brick your TV if you don't fully understand the settings.
