I just have to say that whenever you two upload a new video, no matter what's it's about, it makes my day. I am 100% serious. The chemistry between you two, the professional nature of the video itself. And the feeling that you two are committed to entertaining and informing your many followers...well, it's exemplary. My wife has limited mobility so your videos are ideal "armchair travels" for me. As someone with a severe case of wanderlust, your videos feed that unquenchable thirst. My grandma and grandpa were snowbirds who went to Florida from New Jersey each winter to “escape the cold”, and they took this exact auto train from VA to FL bc my elderly grandpa didn’t feel comfortable driving 17-hrs (total drive time from New Jersey… driving to Lorton was already a huge mission for him!!) They both passed away a few years ago and I have always wondered what their “auto train experience” was like, and now I know! Really enjoyed watching this video, immediately texted my brother telling him to watch this too.

The auto train has been around since the 1950s when people from New England and New York would spend the winters in Florida. It’s the original Snowbird way of travel Also that Golf is pure luxury compared to Sprit Airlines 🤪
Like more autotrains in the USA would def be a boon, imagine instead of an 2-6 hour flight + all the witing at the terminals and rental car place, you have you car loaded up on the train and you can sit comfrotably on the journey

Great video and a very fair assessment of the Auto Train. We live in nearby Maryland and have family in FL, and we have traveled back and forth many times, both by driving and on the Auto Train. We have never had a negative experience. Yes, there have been some times with waiting in the stations and some delays, but we'll take that over I-95. At least I'm not doing the driving.
As a long time resident of Northern Virginia, I say welcome to DC. There are plenty of nice restaurants here!
I took the auto train some years ago. The late seating for dinner is the better option, because you can stay in the dining car longer.

My sister did this, drove from Trumansburg, NY to there and went to Florida that way for a cruise in Miami and drove back to get on the train back. She said it was less stressful and less exhausting this way.
