I know janja didnt win but crazy to hear people say she seems “off” when she looks at least 2 times better than anyone else on this route alone and her only mistake was a fumble at the end

15:48 I think Neo's this clipping was actually a genius energy saver, and clever him and Satone didn't get guided by the x marks on the wall like every other athlete did. It is a reachy way for sure I’d say, but when he was clipping from his side way position, his feet are higher up at about same height as his left hand on the hold, which means the load to his left arm is much optimized and roughly less than 50% of his body weight which is nothing to their level. Whereas when clipping from the x marked hold, the foot hold there looks much less securer and more slippery angle, essentially lower than the hand hold as well, which means the majority of load directly goes to the holding right arm. This was a genius play, although it’s in commentary called a “mistake”, “risky” or whatsoever.🤷♂️

couldn't really tell if the male route was well set after seeing bunch of top athletes are kinda stuck almost at the same spot. Intense -like the route setter said, is for sure.
