Just like how the pucks now have sensors in them in the nhl, so if you ever catch a game puck you’re very lucky and getting a very high tech expensive piece of nhl history, just started in the past 3 years , they aren’t used in warmups so don’t expect to get any going down to the glass during warmups begging for pucks lol , I was the zam driver for VGK for two years during the time they started using them so I’ve got ones with and without them , you can see them there’s 6 little black dots around the logo on both sides it’s cool , the second it leaves the arena it ends tracking it’s really cool

It’s a rfid for when they wash the uniforms. Been in clothes at factories and professional sports for years. It tells them whose uniform it is and where it goes. Helmets have same thing inside when they relax and refurbish at the end of season or when needed.
