WE FIXED JUNK, HIT A DEER, and SAW THE USA!

Autos and Vehicles

Get DRIVE YOUR GARBAGE T-shirts here: https://shop.davidfreiburger.com/ This time it’s a 2,400-mile, across-the-USA road trip in a vintage van with David Freiburger and Keith Turk! The van is a 1965 Ford Falcon (Econoline) and the mission is to deliver D/F’s 1,080-horsepower Bonneville small-block engine from Alabama to Los Angeles. The trip includes ‘50s neon signs, then-and-now Americana, breakdowns, roadside repairs, and the smallest pinch of Van Halen history! If you dig it, please share it. Remember, Thursday is Freiday at 3:00 pm Pacific time every week!—D/F FOLLOW ME FOR ADVENTURES, HISTORY, HORSEPOWER, PROJECT CARS, AND MORE! https://www.instagram.com/davidfreiburger/ https://www.facebook.com/DavidFreiburger https://www.threads.net/@davidfreiburger EMAIL: [email protected]

The "then and now" photo overlays are exceptionally well done and are a very nice touch.

Was funny when the guy was talking about hitting the stones perfectly with a hammer just after he bashed in his headlight with a hammer. Also those are called pump-jacks when you are talking about them specifically, but oil well gets the point across. Good Stuff!

This was a great video, Keith was an awesome guest. Also, in a pinch, a thin smear of Dawn works great for fog repellent

Wow! One of the best episodes; break downs, hit a bambi, body repair, good travel buddy, history, etc. Gosh, I really need to get out and do my own trip. Good video Freiburger.

16:31 Wow...is that an old microfiche reader? Back in the day when I worked at a Porsche-Audi dealer with my dad (I was a teen cleaning the shop and he was a mechanic), I remember the parts guys looking up stuff in one of those. Pre-internet days. 1980s

Looks almost as sexy as my 65 Falcon Club Wagon before the kamikaze Bambi run on yours. Mine is a factory original 240 three on the tree and still has all the factory original interior unmolested and still has the back seats and cigarette butts in the ashtrays. I acquired it off of the 92 year old gentleman who was the second owner. I got it off Joe after it sat under a tree in his backyard for 30 years. It took me a couple of months and a bunch of work but I managed to get her back on the road.

A push fan up in the doghouse helps a lot with the cooling issues. I have a van problem!

Used to work with Keith Turk in Germany back in the early 90's when he was an Apache pilot and I was a Kiowa pilot. Never knew what happened to him until he started popping up in Roadkill and YouTube videos.
