Jean-Luc Melenchon calls for solidarity with detained flotilla activists at rally in Marseille
"Netanyahu’s navy intercepted the flotilla more than 1,000km from Gaza’s maritime borders and on the other side of the Mediterranean. That’s called piracy." In a speech in Marseille on Thursday, Jean-Luc Melenchon, leader of La France Insoumise, called for solidarity with detained Global Sumud Flotilla activists. The 22 flotilla vessels were intercepted by the Israeli navy off the Greek island of Crete last week. 175 activists were detained, but most were released on Crete. Two activists are still being held in detention. Support stories that matter.
