Israel has extended the detention of two Global Sumud Flotilla activists for a further six days, reported the Adalah legal team from the Ashkelon court in Israel on Tuesday. Saif Abu Keshek and Tiago Avila were abducted in international waters by Israeli authorities who intercepted several boats from the flotilla heading for Gaza while they were in Greek waters on 29 April. The two were taken to Israel while more than 100 other pro-Palestine activists on board the boats were taken to the Greek island of Crete. Adalah has also reported that the two have faced abuse in Israeli jail, including death threats, psychological abuse and poor conditions. Support stories that matter.
