She has a popular blog (http://owningyourshit.blogspot.com) and YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/girlwriteswhat) where she talks about a range of gender-related issues, in particular fathers' rights and domestic violence against men. In this clip, Straughan and Cenk Uygur debate the merits of divorce settlements that favor wives over husbands and whether the feminist movement deserves credit for winning women the right to vote. Wow. Cenk, you really made an ass of yourself here. First of all, feminism came AFTER women's rights activism. AFTER the right to vote was passed. After that vote was passed, women's rights activism ended in large part due to the fact that it had already achieved all it set out to do. Women's right activism is not feminism. Activism =/= Ideology. Feminism is an ideology, not a vehicle for activism. Activism achieves it's goals and then disappears until those goals are undone. Ideology exists to continue existing; it exists to propagate. The problem with an ideology born of activism is that it needs to justify it's existence by creating problems that do not exist. Things like #manspreading #mansplaining #manslamming , things like Anita Sarkeesians entire career and articles asking about wether or not "fart is rape." These are things that are not women's rights issues. These are not even issues. They are justifications to keep feminism alive because as an ideology, it does not care wether or not it achieves it's goals. All it cares about is making sure the ideology remains relevant. They will make up whatever problem they want to justify it. This is why I am not a feminist. I'm not a meninist. I'm a human rights advocate. Plain and simple. No ideology. No extremism. Just rights. Cenk sounds like O'Reilly here. It's uncanny. I can't in good conscience stay subscribed knowing that this is how you pursue conversations with those who disagree with you. This isn't a discussion. This is just unprofessional.
There's nothing more unbearable than a host who yells at a guest, no matter who.
"I thought we were having a rational conversation" -Cenk Uygur, as he yells over a woman and tells her to make him a ham sandwich.
Totally unprofessional Cenk, almost sounded like a fox news reporter.
Karen is usually amazing, she's the reason why I'm not feminist anymore. And ew at Cenk for yelling at his guest like that. I need to see the full interview :/
I love how she is calmly trying to explain herself and he's screaming "YADA YADA YADA!"
"I thought we were having a rational conversation" Wow. Just wow.
Unsubscribed after this "interview".
look, I share cenk's position on this, But this felt, but this felt like bill O'Reily trying to bury his interviewe with loud screaming. You are allowed to show emotions and absolutely should, but please, try not to control the conversation if she says something stupid thats a good thing for your position.

TL;DR version of this video: If I talk, it is a "Rational Conversation". If you talk, it is a "Mumbo Jumbo Nonsense". Anyone who is reading this owes me a "Thank you".
Did he ever apologize for this?
Cenk you are the one being unreasonable
Hey cent, don't you think you owe an apology for your childish, irrespectful and unprofessional behavior? and yes, I am calling you "cent"
I'm certainly not an MRA, but I no longer feel comfortable calling myself a feminist. In the past, I did so, because I thought it simply meant that you believe men and women should have equal rights in society, and don't get me wrong, to a lot of people that's what they believe it means. However, recently it seems to be more about hating men than anything else. I also grow weary of the whiny drama-queens screaming about the "sexist movie/music/video game industry", "the patriarchy", and the boundless hypocrisy the more radical feminists show. How is it in any way okay to make "#Killallmen" into a joke, when you scream misogyny if I so much as utter the word "cunt" or "bitch", regardless of the circumstance? When feminism becomes about ACTUAL equality again, be sure to give me a call.
I feel so inclined to punch him in the face.
That ending with the "gimme a thank you" was the left wing version of "DO YOU LOVE AMERICA?! I DON'T CARE ABOUT THESE FACT, DO YOU LOVE AMERICA?!"
I was quite discouraged by seeing this side of Cenk. Very unprofessional and disingenuous.
"I thought we were having a rational conversation" where you, cenk? sounded like you were just yelling like I child.
...And that's why Dave left you Cenk. He actually believed in an exchange of ideas.
