I have a degree in archeology. It is well known that human life started in Africa. Most people might not know that Africa and the Middle East were one floral and biological ecosystem at various points in earth's history. They merged and separated many times in the last 3 million years. More things are coming to the surface through different research fields. So a lot of things are still debatable.
Once I saw PBS I knew it was legit
It is documentaries like these that hopefully will get more people studying Africa , there is a rich history of the Niger Delta and river that needs to be written about , Senegal and surrounding seems to have archeology dating back centuries, the Bantu/Nguni migrations has it own story. Egypt and Kush are only a small corner of Africa. 😀

How refreshing, inspiring, honest accompanied by journalistic integrity. there does not seem to be an alternative agenda. So far, 33mins, I am learning new information. Of importance is Sudan's Kush. Pre-dating Sumer and Egypt? Ive been so obsessed with Ancient Egypt that I keep seeing the same information for ever, but this video is revelatory and gives cred to African history as told by Africans
You can really tell that this is a production from the US, there obviously still is a need to prove that black people are just people like everyone else. I have already seen European documentaries about Kush and Meroe and they really did not feel the need to emphasize that black people had culture etc. because they know their audience already knows that. It is sad that people are still seen as this different in the US when they are really not. Well otoh evolution is still a hot topic in the US, so it figures.
Thank you, I always chuckle when other people I chat with do not realize we are all from Africa. I don't understand how anyone thinks we came from any else. Well done.
