Been following your football fundamentals I also noticed that while PSG exploited the space the Bayern CBs left due to man marking, it was usually Doue and Kvara going solo simply because PSG could not afford to commit many players to keep their structure in the midblock to prevent against counter attacks. That is why Dembele ghosted most of the remaining attacks in the game because he was reinforcing the midfield in the case of a counter.

Bayern DID keep up obviously, which the 1:1 shows. They just couldn't manage to score the second goal they would have needed. It all came down to just one problem this time: Bayern's passes were not quite as precise as last time. Too many intercepted passes, too many passes that slowed the pass-recipient down. It got a little bit better towards the end - but too close to the end.

Bayern lacks a regular number 10. They were to predictable going to the wings with Olise all the time.. he should have moved to the centre while Musiala would he moved to the wings... Real Madrid exposed them in the semi final... Enrique right now is better than Pep.

psg has done similar things to break liverpool high press last year, what really amazes me is how QUICKLY psg players are adapting/adjusting within the game..... this either means PSG players haev very high tactical understanding, or they have previewed/practiced certain types of adjustments (like of course every team practices, but the FLEXIBILITY and SPEED they can react and make adjustments in formation within a single game is quite remarkable.).
