What's wrong with it, as a UTD fan we had Fergie doing deals with international managers all the time. International friendlies are pointless especially in March/April when most international players have something to compete for at club level be it UCL, Domestic League title, Domestic Cup or European places for next season.

It's 100% the right thing to do. These current international matches are just 'Friendlies'. It's not like they are World Cup Qualifiers or anything. Arsenal are currently on route to win their first Premier League Trophy in 22 YEARS!!! So obviously that is the priority right now. These friendlies are not worth any of the players risking injuries.

The national teams know who their best players are and want them fit for the World Cup, they don’t need to give them more minutes in meaningless friendlies at this stage of the season. Clubs can’t force them to send players back, they’re doing it cos it’s mutually beneficial
