My dear brother, thank you for your reactions, I really enjoy them. I am a Jamaican living in Wales, where rugby is more of religion than sport. I am sure that many have told you this, but you must watch the highlights of the man called Jonah Lomu. He is the greatest rugby player ever lived. I am a retired cricketer, and you should do some cricket highlights. It is a wonderful game. Much love and blessings to you.
i will never understand why soccer is more popular than rugby.
American here. I've been involved in American rugby since '72. Welcome to my game. Rugby is different. You can watch 2 halves of 40 minutes plus the halftime in less than 2 hours. Play is continuous. It just keeps going and the clock almost never stops. If there is a penalty, minor injury, score, or the ball goes into touch (out of bounds) it keeps on running. Only the ref can stop time and he needs a good reason to do so. Compare that to our bastardization of it where most of the time while you're watching the clock and play is stopped. Four hours to watch 60 minutes of play. Hell, even when the clock is running they spend 30 to 40 seconds between two 5 seconds of play standing around deciding what to do. /sigh There's a reason I stopped coaching football and became a rugby player/ref/coach.
I'm more of a Football/Soccer(for all the US out there) enjoyer, but i'll always have huge respect for Rugby players and as a sport. No nonsense, no armor, just pure raw physicality, intelligence and skill!
Watch the ladies too, they don’t hold back.
A great video to watch / react to is: "Rugby explained for American Football fans". It explains the rules and nuances of the game.
50 years ago I played Rugby. I put it down to me being sane now.
The short blond guy on SA is Faf De Clerk. He is only 5 ft 7, tiny compared to the rest. There's a good video on him. He was strong as an ox, and he mouthed at the players and made them crazy, too. There is also a video on the ten most feared players. Enjoy!
Much love from South Africa fam. ❤🎉
comment on the opening: not just that, but a professional athlete that does this for a living _with cleats on_
@ 6:23..JONAH LOMU DEMONSTRATES THE "MAORI SIDESTEP"
Definition of rugby: Poetic violence.
As a Canadian, I think that hockey and rugby (Union) are the best team games ever. Though hockey has become so damn fast, I can't figure stuff out. But there is always rugby!❤🇨🇦
There's a famous quote which explains the difference between rugby & football (soccer). “Rugby is a hooligan’s sport played by gentleman, football is a gentleman’s sport played by hooligans” 🏉 👊 🏉
Every player must run, tackle, kick, run, run, tackle, pass, catch, run, tackle for 80 minutes
no helmets or pads and steel cleats flying EVERYWHERE.
Ill answer every question you ask as I go along but I gotta get it out there first that the channel that made this video is the best rugby highlights channel on YouTube. Any of his yearly compilations would be fantastic.
Watch Rugby league it's just a bit harder ! I'm a Wigan fan 😊
America would be a world class rugby country if a few football players transferred over. It's just the mental challenge of not having any protective gear on. Conditioning is the key. Making not wearing pads normal. Also you have to have free health care like other rugby playing nations. It takes away the concerns of getting injured. Makes players play harder.
