“oh no my steak is too juicy and lobster too buttery” type video 😩 in all seriousness though, I recognize the immense amount of privilege I have to even be able to go to a different country to “find myself” or whatever this is—to have severance AND a backup of content creation as a safety net is such a blessing and I’m so lucky and grateful 😔 thanks for sticking around, please don’t be sick of me just yet 🫰🏼
this is such an interesting and cool explanation of balance in life. Maybe the pie will be a french croissant for this period of your life hehehe.
this is the best explanation i have found for the way i am too. every birthday of mine the past couple years i have gone on a solo trip a few nights, to give myself the opportunity to enjoy life without going by someone else’s preference or even considering them. i am hyper aware of others in my presence and very giving, and i love being that way. however it does get draining, hearing everyone else before yourself and i’ve started to resent people for the dynamic i created, so i take solo hikes and holidays for a healthy reset!
I fear we have both been influenced by belly from the summer i turned pretty, and how she found herself
Tbh life is hard (even when you have Great privileges) and sometimes you just need a hard reset to get back into it. I’ve been dreaming of having one myself and you totally inspired me to just go for it.
this is the wake up call i’ve been slowly discovering myself as well!!
Girl, I feel you. I give away so much of my pie that I just starve 😞
I relate to this so much! I just returned from an extended vacation in Taiwan surrounded by my loving extended family and enjoyed forcing myself to not be involved in the FOMO that is in my daily life at home. I resonate a lot with giving pie away or asking people if they want pie, when I haven't even asked myself if I want pie! When I came back, it was so difficult to connect with the self that was slow, curious, and just taking it step by step. But day by day, it takes mindfulness. I hope you find what you're looking for in Paris!
i’ve always wanted to travel alone, i hope you enjoy Paris!!
Can you give info on the bag and boots?
The pie is a tarte tatin <3
Welcome to France ☺️
Awww saying bye in the rainnnnn 😢❤❤❤
Where are your shoes from? 😮
So real. Go have a great trip girlie! I did a similar stint in Paris myself last summer, so it’s so fun to get to watch someone else do that too. :)
Would hobbies that you do just by yourself help? Stuff that will allow memories just by yourself so u don't get that FOMO but also still get your own slice of pie,yk?
Enjoy Paris!! I hope you’ll have a great time
Can you give some advice to those who would like to do the same? I feel like my soul is dying for a solo trip like this. The last couple of years have been about everyone else.. always taking. So drained and it’s time I give back and feed my soul.
Your pie analogy might be my new favorite thing, also you mentioning that fear of people making memories without you.. I felt that so strongly ! I hope you have a nice and relaxing trip 💜
I used to be the person to hold off on personal experiences until "it gets better." It was until I got really sick and needing surgery to realize i needed to slow down and starting living for myself again.
