5:40 could only see some vague semblance of a campaign by putting a dynamic story beat into maps as they come out, sort of like Titanfall 1's multiplayer mode which *was* the campaign.

Yo just flip the switch that lets heroic strikes drop useable loot, I’ll run strikes all day. Like times long ago before portal

It's almost like ignoring and spurning your loyal core playerbase with greedy monetization and lackluster drops for years, and then ditching them to chase profits with a new game in a dying genre no one asked for is a bad business model

im just so confused about the fact that we're supposed to be getting a big new update in june (after a huge delay) and yet we have no trailer, roadmap, info, anything the month before. this has never happened before right? whats the big idea?

Whe they revealed there would be raid like content in marathon I always assumed it was going to be the reason there were season wipes. Like through out the season you build you vault and then a few weeks before the season ends they release this “raid” and you get really good op loot to play with for the last few weeks. But I also thought the raid would be more pve and noob friendly for the intro. Like as a casual you wouldn’t finish the raid unless you were carried. But the majority of it is a fun pve objectives anyway one can attempt. Idk this just made the most sense to me being what Bungie should’ve done. I still think it will work but the development time required doesn’t seem possible.

As time goes on that deal between Parsons and Sony looks more and more like a heist.

It’s actually really sad man..I was a Destiny player from Vanilla D1, the game didn’t come out of my console and bought a PC to have the best experience possible when it went over. I bought new games that I didn’t even play because I just wanted to be on Destiny. I have over 10k hours on PC alone. Bungie saw the signs of the cliff, but they just ignored them, and droves us all off

That intro had me cry a single white tear that ran down my leg

Imagine In-N-Out decided one day to make burritos instead of burgers and fries. Well the millions of devoted patrons shop there for burgers and fries, so perhaps the patrons will vacate to other places that offer what they are looking for. Then, In-N-out goes defunct because they have no customers. Good job Bungie

I know people don’t want to hear this but we would be in a better place is Bungie (and the community) had let Destiny end at the Final (final) shape

I'm sure Pete Parsons is crying behind the wheel of his Ford Bronco

These executives are so unfit for their jobs and they prove it time and time again 😂 $3.6B for Bungie was NEVER going to end well. They aren’t worth $1B! They probably aren’t worth $500M! 😂 Too hilarious

I think bring D1 up to date for modern hardware I know myself and others would love it at 60fps and above and release on PC as well I think there is some money in that move and buy some time for D3 just saying

One important point that people are overlooking is that $1.2 billion of the $3.6 billion price was allocated for Bungie to retain its employees. This means that Bungie's valuation was effectively $2.4 billion. If we subtract the $800 million, Bungie's current worth is now $1.6 billion.

Honestly, one of the ways they could spike up engagement for marathon is making the sponsored mode, the free to play mode and the rest of the game you have to pay to be able to access it same with the gear you extracted in the free mode if you wanna go outside of the sponsored kit mode, you would have to pay for the game
