However the shooter shot her through the door but left her three friends. The girl who handed the badge back under was Lilaβs friend who had been putting pressure on Lilaβs wound. Lila was rushed to the hospital but passed away. Officer Kay (the man who was talking to her on the phone and the one who slid his badge under) later named his daughter after her to honor her death.
