Man I love real hardware, but I wish I hadn't sold my collection to GameStop when I was 11 for a couple pennies and a half-eaten subway sandwich. Some cartridges are going north of $100 now.
Having more fpga options is always great for the scene. I'm personally just waiting for the handheld MiSTer because it's going to be dockable and fully compatible with all the current cores.
There's three games that use the accelerometer. Kirby's Tilt n Tumble Yoshi's Universal Gravitation Warioware Twisted.

Just wish it was cheaper..... Plus, I think the Analogue looks more classy.
Every thing about the screen I'm not really into but I'm glad that there's more FPGA options for folks to try.

I will say I think some things Tito forgot to mention is that the horizontal version has double the ram than the one that he has in hand. That should theoretically make something like the ps1 more feasible. Also the game bub comes with rumble support as well so games like pokemon pinball can utilize that as well. Lastly there's an expansion port that you could add a light sensor or debug if you're a developer. I will say that more cores are really dependent on fpga developers wanting to port cores over to the game bub. So hopefully some hype and knowledgeable people can get behind this project.
Will need to have a screen that lives up to the Pocket's if it's gonna be "better"
Really excited for this thing. Since its completely open source, we'll be seeing better and better iterations of it eventually.

Wow finally a handheld fpga console I might give a try. I own several original gb, gb color and gba console and enjoy playing them.
I hope that there will be a Super GameBoy core, but no borders. just the colors and enhancements.

I prefer the OG GBA horizontal form factor
biggest appeal of the Analog Pocket is its screen and shader options. it's the reason I much prefer it to an IPS or even OLED screen replacement for original hardware

I remember reading Eli's blog when he was developing the GameBub (prob not called that then) a few years ago. Then I saw it was on sale now. And then I saw on Ken's channel recently he was making the GameBub from scratch. Great Video. and now it's on here with Tito. I really wish I could buy one, but it would be a white elephant with all the other things I have that I rarely play with. I hope it does well as Eli has listened to people and put a lot of thought into the design.
