I paid an average of $181 for the tablets and for the retail bundles I paid an average of $313. One of the most common issues I found was a no charge or power issue. It truly saddens me that I can’t even justify spending the money on a switch and yet some people treat them so poorly that they break and they don’t seem to care
i just watch some older videos and god, i'm very hppy for your good health now.
My man fixed 12 out of 11 haha
4:45 hey man. I don’t do repairs on electronics. But I think I know what’s wrong with number 9. 😂 😅
have you tried to log into the Nintendo account to make sure that the switches are not banned
2:50, it's a water damaged LCD. The liquid went under the polarizing film and reflectors for the backlight
Tablet number 3 is 100% from a spill of some sort. Liquid that leaked into the lcd so the backlight illuminates it funny. I’ve damaged a few old personal screen repairs with alcohol and this is usually how they look once that happens.
Dude, you're the only one who can keep me sitting for 50 minutes watching you fix things.
Seeing this video takes me back. This type of video, but with Switch 1 instead is what made me subscribe. Best decision ever (car video now, pls)

28:02 First rule of electronics: don't let the smoke out
Can I just say Steve, that during and after your health scare, you've shown nothing but out of this world enthusiasm for your videos and repairs. I am really happy that you are doing well and it comes across in your videos. I wish you ongoing good health and hope you are doing this for a long time to come. Keep up the good work :)
The no power ones. Should still have a warranty from
It pisses me off how people spend hundreds of dollars on tech and dont take care of them like wtf!! Some people dont deserve nice things.
So good there are people out there that reduce electrical waste
Number 3, the one with the headphone jack broke off in the port, then you found the port to be unplugged when you took the back panel off. This was most likely done by the previous owner after the jack got stuck. The Switch would still think headphones were plugged in and try to play sounds through the headphones instead of the speakers, so they most likely just unplugged it so the main speakers would work.
By the end of this marathon you must never want to see another Switch2 for a long time! That was a lot of pulling apart and putting back together - and you spared us watching most of that tedium. Awesome work!
4:43 Did JerryRigEverything get his hands on that one? 💀
If there are multiple shorts in the SAME places across multiple devices, doesn't that denote a possible design flaw? Like a known-issue to be addressed in future releases?
:58 IPA or electronic parts cleaner that gets behind the screen and dissolves the backing of the screen causes that.
