Abandoned cars usually get stickered. When the car is not tended to, then it gets towed, NOT over a weekend.

Ex tow dispatcher. If the car was parked on a city restricted street for more the 72 hours, it was most likely the city that towed it. I’ve been cursed out by so many people for “parking on a public road” edit: why are you guys mad at me? i wasn't the one making the rules. the CITY was. also, yes the cars had stickers. and yes, they marked the tires to see if they had moved and just parked in the same spot. lastly, OBVIOUSLY i know my city isn't the same as others. jeez some of you need a life more than i do. and i play video game all day.

In the UK there are rules and guidelines only the authorities can tow a car if on public street and if it's taxed they won't touch it.

You know if you're planning on parking on the street for an extended period and it's directly in front of somebody's house common common sense dictates that you would at least give them a heads up
