Just do an oil change twice right after each other. First use cheap oil, run it for a short while and do another oil change with a new oil filter. I do this for TFSI/TSI engine as well.

Clean oil never damaged any engine!!! Another trick a mechanic told me was to put a pint of diesel in the engine, run it for a few minutes and then drop it out, flushes more crap out than enough!!! Donβt know how true that is though???

For those that dont want to pay the $30+ price tag for the Liqui Moly engine flush chemical, a company much older than them, that makes a better quality product that is also multi use is there for you. Sea Foam is usable in your fuel system via the gas cap to clean out injectors and your fuel lines and whatnot, but for use in your oil as a flush chemical, add 1 Fluid Ounce of Sea Foam per Quart of Oil your engine takes and drive it for about 50-100 miles, ideally before your routine maintenence oil change interval. When you drain it, depending on how disciplined you are with maintenance on your car, it may or may not come out looking like tar, as it extracts an insane amount of contaminants from the entire engine oil system. And a can of it costs about $10 and any cheemical you have left over can just be used in your fuel system unless you feel like saving it for your next oil change, but i would not exactly recommend doing a harsh chemical engine flush every single oil change.

Can anyone answer this for me. I have a Dacia Jogger hybrid (1.6l petrol with a 1.4kw battery and motor which the car switches between each of the power sources by itself). All the guidance from Dacia says that this car should have an oil change every two years or 30k miles (I'm not doing that - too long between changes for me) whichever comes first. But what I know (and its not much) from these vids and others online is that the more frequent oil changes you do, the longer the engine will last so I am not following their advice - What I need to know is how much mileage should I be allowing between oil changes with this car considering that for the first 13,000 miles I've done, the cars computer is reporting that about 5.6 -6k of that was done under electric power? Does the mileage under electric power even matter? Should it be 5-8k miles regardless of how the car is powered or should the mileage under electric power be factored in as well (so if you say 8k miles, do I add on an extra few thousands for battery power)? I have asked the manufacturer this and all I get from them is to refer to the service book guidance which says 2 years/30k miles which I don't want to do. I have planned for my next oil change to be done in 10k miles but if this is too long, please advise on a more suitable mileage. Thanks in advance.

I just use castrol engine shampoo which isn't thin like moly etc, run it 15 mins hot at idle, drain immediately and leave it draining for a whole hour with the car tilted slightly so the drain plug is at the lowest point, et voila, afterwards clean oil in a diesel with just 1 lot of oil.

I have used this brand of engine flush In my 115,000 mile Ford Focus 2015 2.0 diesel every service, with never a problem. no oil leaks and it never needs a top up between services. It does feel as though it also found a few stray ponies and put them back where needed.

Word from the wise. Dont do stuff like this is you've got an older high mileage diesel that hasnt had regular flushes like this, you likely have grime blocking holes which would have otherwise leaked.
It also says to add that flush to the old oil. Once you've done that, let it run for 15 minutes, change oil and filter and let it run for 15 minutes again to remove residue from the flush. That would be the proper way to do it. But if you do 2 oil changes in that short amount of time, the oil will be clean after the second one anyways, doesn't matter if you added a flush or not. If you change your oil every 5k, these flushes are a waste of money

I prefer not lean solvent flush engine,I tend to rinse old sludge inside engine with 0w30 oil by multiple times frequently,at least it is engine oil clean out sludge while still protect piston rings and cylinders without risk rubbing metal surface between rings and cylinders, just need changing new oil every 3000 miles run, after 2-3 times changes, oil becomes clean and engine silent while running like swiss watch.
