This happened to me and my dad when I was a little kid. We were on a rural road going to the lake to go boating. We come across 3 cars stopped in front of us and and sat for about ten minutes. Then the flagger let the first go through and stopped the rest of us again. We were really confused. Cars were coming towards us and they were spread out like no one stopped them. Then the guy lowered the stop sign, waved us on and then started walking through an empty field. No construction anywhere, we figured someone got a hold of a crossing guards stop sign and was just playing a joke.

How to watch it two more times before I seen the guy with the stop sign😂😂 Thought the guy was blocking the roadway...😅

Honestly, at some point I would just drive directly up to them and ask if they even knew their sign was facing that direction because it seems like either he forgot to turn it or thought he turned it when he didn't depending on how long they've been there, which considering the line probably quite a while
