That was a bad ball
It was a full toss, not over-pitched.,..
Full toss ball
Sunny read it early and so well. Thommo may be good with his bowling pace but Sunny's mind raced ahead of his thoughts.
It was a low full toss not overpitched
WORLD CLASS
❤❤❤❤❤
Gavaskar father of Australians.
😢
No test batsman worth their salt wouldn't put a full toss outside off stump away to the boundary. As it happens Sunil never faced Thommo prior to his shoulder injury a year or so earlier. Thomson was never as quick again and he lost a lot of his natural bounce. Nevertheless Gavaskar was a great player tho he like everyone else would've found pre injury Thommo a handful. Ask the West Indies greats of the day, Lloyd, Richards, Greening, Kallicharan etc and they'll all say Thommo at his peak was simply on another level.
Rare, poor delivery from Thomson....any good batter should take advantage of such a delivery
Think it was the 1st ball of the innings. Remember listening to it live on AIR!
That's a lousy out of line, out of length over pitched ball from Jeff that will be given the same treatment by any batsman. Below average ball Sunil has played far better shots against high quality bowling than this one
That's why his name is Sunil "Manohar" Gavaskar ❤
The OG Little Master! ❤
Master of batting ❤
Great gavaskar
