Well a feller sees a truck like this and I just have to watch the whole video
That kind of documentation is an absolute goldmine! I love finding this type of stuff in old classics! So important to capture it for posterity!
This feller vis a God send he will really keep a guy going I know he has kept me from giving up on life!!!
thank you Derek, for your positive and uplifting attitude. I always enjoy your show. Informative and entertaining. thank you. John, from Ireland. cheers.
OK now THAT’S the exact same interior In the 75 K25 Silverado that my Dad just passed and left me. Color, Condition and all!
Mr Derek, you are bob ross of cars and trucks!!!!!
Back when Chevrolet built really nice- looking trucks. Two tone paint, nice chrome accents. Thanks Derek for this video.
We had a’78 Scottsdale with a Leaded 350 for the farm gas
I just wanted to say how much I enjoy watching you resurrect these old Squarebodies. You inspired me to go door knocking ,and I scored a crusty one owner 85 Silverado C10 thats never been molested ,but sat for a while. 2 months in i got her in going to town condition so far. Picked up alot of tips from watching your channel. Thanks
Those under hood brackets not only look natural they work natural....fantastic ! 😮👍
My dad ordered a 1977 GMC High Sierra heavy duty 3/4 ton in the same colors, including the red interior. 350, auto, dual tanks. We had it until it went to the junk yard. I've only seen maybe three trucks in the silver and white. The thumbnail gave me a surreal feeling. I made a lot of memories in that truck.
Ain't nothing like a straight square body, Thank you Derek for these videos, you don't know how much they mean to me, you bring joy and happiness to many of us fellers who enjoy these old classics. Bring the Thunder🙏⚡
I love how you make everything so simple for anyone...i learned in church about fruits of the spirit about patience...which taught me about knowing your audience, and talking to them
First video of his I've ever watched. Absolutely love this guy.
This was my grandfather’s truck! It was the last vehicle he owned before his death in 1978. Wow this is crazy
I've been a fan of your channels for a number of years. Wanted to let you know that I introduced my dad to y'all's channels too, and he loves them. He's 91 years old, has been a gas station owner and mechanic since the late '50's. When he retired from the gasoline retail business, he and I opened a repair garage. I have also been an auto and truck tech through all the emissions changes since the late '60's. We both can appreciate the struggles you go through trying to fix up a car well enough to hit the road. We both did it all, from towing & service calls at -30° or in rain storms, to engine, clutch, trans, and getting these cars to pass Ohio's E Check when it was enforced. My dad moved destroyed cars and trucks after the Super Outbreak of tornados in '74 that ravaged many states. Thanks for all the hard work, and doing it in such a loving and entertaining way. He's really impressed with your family. Happy New Year!
Why I love this channel, just get it running and use it. Am not rich yet, lotto hasn't kicked in yet, so, keep it real, make it work and use it. Thank you Darick
Derek is the reason I bought a 65 C10 last month to be restored from the frame up! And I have never done it before! I been learning so much from him. Lost my dad in March from cancer. We never did auto stuff together but we were about to start. Now im out with my 9 year old son cutting grinding and welding floor pans learning from Youtube! God Bless you Derek and Vice Grip Garage. You give so many people inspiration to get up and just do it and learn. And have fun doing it!
8:40 I'd take the boom-booms over a gas tank that goes boom right behind the bench, so I'd say that's an upgrade!
