This episode is a montage for anyone who wants to watch the CRX restoration but doesn't have the patience to sit through 10 episodes. So this video condenses down roughly 2500 hours of work into a 40 minute video. It shows the very beginnings of how rotten the CRX was and how much welding and rust removal had to be done as well as a quick over view of the engine and transmission swap. I hope you enjoy it and will leave a like and a comment. One of my absolute favorite things about RRC channel is how there is no music or "enhanced" tool sounds. Just pure satisfaction.
finally i find a full build vid with no yapping, no distasteful music, we can see the hard work. well done!
I watched this entire video with my dad at 1 in the morning drinking whiskey. We're about to get a project car together and this was definitely insane motivation for me to move forward. This is crazy work! 💪
I can't be the only American who nearly had a heart attack when a car came around the curve in the right lane. Beautiful restoration, crazy to think that's a 30+ year old car.
I try and do my best to keep up with all of the comments and questions I get asked on all of my videos but In this one particularly I get a lot of questions which are answered better by checking out the corresponding episode in the series to which I've provided the link - /playlist?list=PLLsfVFsOgU7vx2D6AnR1IMfLE8VIcJCs8
So cool that you restored this car. I remember telling friends that one day we'd be seeing people restoring 80s and 90s cars and it seems that day has come.
It's amazing that one man can completely restore a car in a single afternoon.
2500 HOURS of work? Incredible!! What a thoroughly engrossing video series on the trials and tribulations of so extensive a restoration. Great attention to detail and much appreciate the narrative. Its incredible you could keep track of all those small parts, wires and more.
one thing that really bothers me about youtube is how it downplays the incredible amount of work, time and skill it takes to actually do something like this. I appreciate your incredible work and I'm so so impressed by this! way cool!
hands down its THE best restoration ever on internet..the most detailed, n flawless..all n every work, done by a single person..
My very first car was CRX si '90, so much fun to drive, so much good memories! Thanks for this serie, in a way you just restored every single beloved CRX once owned by your viewers.
When you dont have any professionals in the comments criticizing your work, you know you are the man. Great work
This has got to be the best restoration series i have seen, really love your work.
I have been watching various restoration videos for a few years. I have never commented on any of these videos even when I really like them. This time I am astonished. I have never seen such expertise, professionalism, attention to detail and meticulous care for every procedure, even the smallest or seemingly irrelevant. I must give you my warmest compliments. What you have done is not just a work in the automotive sector. You have produced a jewel. A piece of art. Many more compliments! G.
I want to be this well off. That I can spend an entire 14 months dedicated to restoring this vehicle with 100k worth of tools and fluids.
The CRX was a vehicle I absolutely loved in the 90’s. Desperately wanted to own one and sup it up, but I never had that opportunity. Living vicariously through this video
Absolutely beautiful restoration! I've had a 91' base model for over 3 decades, currently has 436K miles and mechanically I've been through it twice, hope to one day work the body half as well as you've done. Great video!
I loved this restoration. I binged on your 11 episodes in about 4 days. So good.
I watched this series from start to finish. Mainly because I owned a 1988 CRX Si for 20yrs and sadly had to let it go, because a two seater wasn’t going to work with a new family. This restoration video series is THE BEST i have seen of the type of video. NO stupid music, no stupid talking, no gimmicks, just pure honest hard and very skillful work. I have watched the fully restoration twice. This guy is absolutely amazing. At the end of my owning my CRX I had it it restored because living in a country that salts its roads in the winter just absolutely rusted out my beloved car. I took the plunge to get as much of it restored at a local body shop and visited it daily and took pictures of the work done. It was not as intense as what was done here, but it was fully restored with all rust removed…..then one year later the painful decision to sell it. Hindsight I should have kept it in my garage for when I could use it again. I said I would buy another two seater before I turned 50 and keep saying that for 20 yrs. The day finally came and I look for another CRX but could not find one. I ended up with a 2009 Miata MX5 NC. I love it better than my CRX because of it being convertible. But I always will have fond memories of my CRX and never miss any videos of any being worked on. Thank you for bringing be back to my youth on this series.
I thought to myself, "Why would anyone restore this car?" and then immediately realize no new car comes close to the reliability one of these would have
