James has always been a car guy and shares his car journey to one of the coolest custom car collections around. Hetfield, has described seeing cars in the same way he sees music: as forms of freedom and expression that convey the passions of their creator. Best known as a co-founder, songwriter, singer, and guitarist for the heavy metal band Metallica, James Hetfield has also gained recognition in the automotive world for his unique collection of entirely bespoke vehicles. While the vast majority of collectors acquire vehicles by purchasing pre-existing examples, Hetfield elected instead to build his from scratch, channeling creativity often reserved for his music into the production of rolling sculptures. Legitimately some of the most beautiful custom cars ever. I also appreciate that the wheel are period-correct and not all huge billet wheels with low profile tires.
James is a gift to the world.
Papa Het = GOAT
Dads are important, mine left when I was born and my stepfather was an abusive alcoholic. He could build me up and knock me down in seconds. Took awhile for me to build myself up again, still a work in progress. Music has helped immensely.
Money builds dreams..us mere mortals are stuck in Hondas.
I think it’s fantastic that he is sharing his personal life and and inviting us into his house to give us a inside look ,me as a very small car collector and musician a big thank you from Ellis repair shop
Im 61. As soon as you hit 21 times, go by very quickly. James is a legend, and he earn it.
I love him even more now cus I’m both obsessed with cars AND guitar too
James, You are my Hero. If You weren't there I would NEVER get into Heavy Metal. And pick the guitar up. Metallica and my older brother saved my life. You have my endless Love and Respect. Greetings from Serbia 🇷🇸
That garage is a fucking art gallery. Just beautiful. x
That Auburn is sick! I recently introduced my wife to the Auburn; she had never seen one... So I took her to a nearby auto museum where there were two on display and for sale, and said, "well..., there's 'The Auburn'.".
What an inspiration you have been throughout my whole life, James Hetfield. You’ve endured the lowest of lows, with the passing away of your mother at an early age to the difficulties you struggled with as a teenager raised in a strict catholic family… I thank you for all the strength and love you have given me, a random fan whom you will probably never meet. Nevertheless, you have affected my life in an indescribable way and for that I will always be indebted to you. Thank you for everything.🤍
This man has no idea how much of an influence he’s been on me since my teens. I can listen to him talk for hours.
What a talented person. James's vocals really helped me to go through challenges when I was in high school/college back in 90's. I really love him.
I could sit and listen to him talk for hours.
I love that he kept much of the classic lines and wheels as they were originally.
Hes the deepest guy on the planet. Seriously. This guy is just pure art and creativity. Not just with music.
It is nice to see him so happy and content in his life. He is very lucky to have all of those vehicles, because I can barely afford anything after my 2003 Honda Element was systematically vandalized, and some of the local police in Connecticut covered it up ! On another note, James seems so at peace, and I enjoy listening him provide background information about his life. I am glad he was able to recognize what he needed and then found his fulfillment.
This dude is the most badass frontman in Metal history. His riffs, his melodies, his voice, are all legendary!!!
This guy should make a tv series. A living legend.
