Meh, Silksong and Expedition 33 are mid games from pretentious devs who thought they've made GOTY material when there are much better Metroidvanias, Souls-like and J/RPGs out there. The rest of the list is pretty solid, especially Hell is Us made in my home turf (Quebec represent!)
I really don’t care if it’s made by a large team or small team. Completely irrelevant to me. All I look at is price and final product. The only 2 things that matter
Awesome rundown. Whatever you think of them, I do also think these have had the most impacct. This year is also gonna be crazy, even some nicher genres like 4X are getting a second wind with Olden Era this month and then Atre Dominance Wars also later in the year and Atre specificaly has more visual polish than most games in indie 4x (usually minimalistic like Songs of Syx) I also just have to notice how cozy games have boomed in hype to the max in recent times (as times get darker I guess)... Even I found myself wishlisting stuff like Water Me & You because I found I ... I actually like these simpler games where I can just hang out and chill with some lighter coop plus this one specifically reminded me of a game from my childhood (Fireboy and Watergirl lol)
Cairn.
0:11 This video doesn't value my time, because no time-stamps.
I've been heading towards indie games lately, and they are so cosy and amazing
Good video. Thanks for the time stamps brother
