I Went Way Too Far for Froglights (Minecraft Survival)

Gaming

This minecraft episode I know I needed to change the lanterns, I kept banging my head in my nether highway. Every single time. So I decided to fix it, except fixing it meant learning that frogs make lights now, which meant finding frogs, which meant breeding frogs, which meant bucketing tadpoles, which meant dragging one frog through the nether on a lead until it ate enough magma cubes to light the whole portal hub. One annoying ceiling problem. Way too long to fix. Cereal and Coffee is a long-form Minecraft survival series. No rush, no resets, just figuring it out. 🔔 Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/@CerealAndCoffee?sub_confirmation=1 📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cerealandcoffee_/ 🎵 TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@cerealandcoffee 🌍 Back in Minecraft after 7 years | New video every week [00:00] - Introduction and Project Goals The creator explains the need to replace head-bumping lanterns and improve the "embarrassing" cobblestone portal enclosure. [01:43] - The Glade Overview A look at "The Glade," a future building site where the creator plans to construct ambitious projects like a castle or turret. [03:05] - Finding Frogs The search for frogs concludes quickly as they find a group of them in a nearby biome. [04:10] - Breeding and Frog Spawn The creator breeds the frogs using slime balls and learns the mechanics of frog spawn and tadpoles. [07:10] - Collecting Tadpoles After a brief wait, the tadpoles hatch, and the creator collects them in buckets to transport them. [13:03] - Ocean Monument Encounter A brief, stressful visit to an ocean monument results in "Mining Fatigue," leading the creator to abandon the idea of using sea lanterns. [14:39] - Redesigning the Nether Portal Room Work begins on clearing out a large space in the Nether to house a relocated and more decorative portal. [17:01] - Relocating the Portal The creator successfully moves and activates the portal to ensure it is centered within the new 15x5 platform. [21:21] - Huey the Frog Enters the Nether The creator leads their first frog, Huey, through the portal and down the tunnel toward a magma cube spawning area. [22:41] - First Froglight Farmed Huey eats his first small magma cube, producing an Ochre Froglight, proving the mechanic works. [24:43] - Aesthetics: Froglights and Warped Trapdoors The creator tests the new lighting with warped trapdoors, finding the combination "dope" and much brighter than the old lanterns. [31:35] - RIP Huey In a tragic turn, the first frog (Huey) dies during the farming process, forcing the creator to retrieve a second frog. [35:33] - The Final Reveal A cinematic fly-through shows the completed tunnel lighting and the newly decorated, symmetrical portal chamber #minecraft #minecraftsurvival #gaming
