My Dog Is 100% BLIND... But Just Watch Him Play Fetch

This is my spaniel Boots, and he is completely blind. But there's one thing being unable to see hasn't changed... He absolutely LOVES playing fetch. In fact, Boots is constantly asking me to throw his ball for him. Obviously he can't watch where it lands, so he's developed his own remarkable way of finding it. When I throw the ball, Boots listens carefully for the sound of it bouncing and landing. That gives him an idea of where to start searching. Then his incredible spaniel nose takes over. He sniffs around until he finds his ball, picks it up and proudly brings it straight back to me — ready for me to throw it all over again! Watching him adapt is wonderful. Boots doesn't seem interested in what he can't do. He's far too busy enjoying everything he CAN do. And judging by how often he asks me to throw that ball, I think I'd get tired of the game long before he ever would! Would you have believed a completely blind dog could still play fetch like this?
