Hold on let me get my notes to write this down, *saving family is optional*, got it.
"Your family dies horribly, but aside from that it really doesn't affect all that much..."
The very first mod for this game on Nexus will be to remove time cost from learning skills, mark my words. ...Okay, well, the second one.
It's happening
They updated the achievements today 8/31/26 (I have to assume they watched this lol) the nightmare difficulty thing was changed. It was indeed from an older version of the game and they replaced it entirely with a new one called Uphill Battle that requires you to beat it on Duelist while also saving your family.
THE notification I was looking forward to this week
Wake up babe, the Mort review for Dawnwalker is here
It's always a good sign when developers confidently share review copies before the release date with no embargo.
I love that moment before a hotly anticipated game when I refresh and realise that all my favourite youtubers have dropped their reviews
Me thinking the timer didn’t seem that bad then, “time passes if you use skill points.” That really seems like something they’ll patch out lol Thanks for the review as always Mort!
Cannot wait for the inevitable mod that lets you play as Blade
Mortwalker, he has 30 days to 100% a game
Yup. I can wait for the winter sales.
Didnt get the notification, youtube, sort your shit out🤣
Other then fallout 1, I don’t believe I’ve ever enjoyed a timer in a video game, just my two cents
Excellent review, thank you. I'm ok with the combat. Once I understood the KCD2 combat, I really got into it. I can't wait to play this!
So if I sacrifice my family I can do everything? Say less!
Wow so the story and writing seem interesting. But all the various mechanics seem like a mess I anticipate tying time progression to using skill points is going to be a MAJOR issue.
I hate time mechanics in video games. Daddy got no time to be anxious
Looks aight, but 70€ is tough. 10€ more than KCD2, which is well polished and established, feels a bit steep. Looking forward to a sale next year or something.
