I watched the game live. If I remember correctly, it snowed the previous day. The groundskeepers cleared the field but didn't clean the stands which a day lated turned all the snow into ice. I remember the NBC sideline reporter telling how bad it was on the Charger sideline when someone with the Chargers got leveled with an iceball in the background. The NY Post printed a front ,or back,I don't remember, page photo of a fan standing up,ready to unload an iceball. The man was arrested and banned from Giants Stadium I think. I also found out that the refs had no power to stop a game and issue a forfeit. I don't know if they changed the rules or not.

I was at this game in a Chargers winter coat and hat. It was about 42 degrees that day and the 4 inches of snow that had fallen the night before was easy to pack to make snowballs. I don't think 10 seconds went by where you didn't see one heaved from sonewhere in the stadium. Also, Rodney Culver, who scored that TD, died in the off-season in the ValueJet plane crash in the Everglades.
Easy fix. There should be one warning. After that, a forfeited game. It would only have to happen once and then it would never happen again.
First off,Dave Brown shouldn't have thrown a first pass as a Giant. Take it back a few more years..Reeves cuts Simms after his best statistical year in 93,no warning. Even made the pro bowl. Belichick wanted him in Cleveland after that,but as per Phil and how classy he is,he retired as a Giant when he still had 2 years left. Guys best receiver in 14 years was a Tight End and he still threw for almost 40,000 yards in a run first offense. Toughest SOB and took hit after hit and kept getting up
Most dangerous game ever? Ohio fans used to throw D sized batteries. Yes D sized batteries. Get hit by one of those and you would wish for snow balls

I remember that game. The Chargers came out flat and were losing until the fans knocked him out and pissed them off.
