I remember watching this as a kid, I felt my teeth's weird for like a week.
I was a coroner, I have seen plenty of real messed up stuff at crime scenes before. I also have never really been disturbed by a scene in a movie before. But let me tell you, this scene in American History X still makes me wince when it happens, and you do not even see the aftermath of it really.
The guy did break into his house
When I first found out what curb stomping was Ive always thought it was easily the most terrifying and painful way to die Edit : just so we're aware I know that you don't always die from a curb stomp but you can very easily die from a severed spinal chord that high up within 20 seconds to 2 weeks at the most🙌
I never understand why someone wouldn't roll over in that situation?

That scene scared me so much as a little girl same with the tar and feathering from Django I think fucking terrified me that people endured that kind of pain as well as the whips and the cat of nine tails all of those movies broke my heart for the actual people that died in those ways

The fact that this happens in real life disturbs me
To me it wasn't the last crunch that was frightening, it was always the teeth moving across concrete at the beginning that makes you squeemish
