You've reached the end
Dumb rule, lost the intention a long time ago. A ball doing a 1/36 rotation isn't moving the ball.
Bri this rule is so stupid he barely moved it
Funny thing is the lie got worse as the ball settled further into the grass.
and that's why Wyndham Clark has his caddie stand between the ball and the camera!
These archaic rules need to change. In all sports. These rules were created decades before the invention of hi def cameras. That ball move didn't in any way give him an advantage.
If you need slow motion zoom replay afterwards it shouldn't matter
"his air particles moved the ball by a pico-meter, i saw it!"
Moved maybe a 1/4", still in the thick rough and still a tough shot. Thats ridiculous.
Pat Reed does it every shot
this is why people hate golf. The ball is in the same spot... my god.
Golf rules are Draconian and need to make more common sense rules.
You can't ground your Club close to the ball and that kind of rough without the ball moving everyone knows that especially the pros
He knew.
These are the things golf needs to update and change
If they catch it before he turns his scorecard in then why is it a 2 stroke penalty? Wouldnβt it just count as a stroke?
He 100% knew.
Thatβs the face of a guilty person π
Unless if the movement actually gives an advantage or is significant(like over half a ball length) then it shouldn't matter.
By grounding an open faced wedge behind the ball in the rough you are 100% improving the lie > Grounding club should ONLY be allowed on FAIRWAY or less cut.
