Yes they do heal. My great aunt helped them many times at her rescue. You do a wool lined harness Thats bolted to the roof of the barn that suspends them. You gradually lower it so they can put weight on that leg . They absolutely can heal.

I remember I had a black horse named strom when we had sold her we losed her she died two months ago I was sad about her but the new her owners did always take her to me to see it her because we know that someday its be her last see of the person who she loved and once belonged to him sometimes horses can make great reliaptionship with humans sh was mine I didn't want sold her but we had to do it because she would died from hunger in winter me didn't had so much food for animals then you understand what its mean when you lose. your horse then you understand that the horse wasn't just job horse but its was your friend who never betrayed you

The sickest part of animal handeling, ranching, veterinarians, humaine societies, the works, is the "this will never heal", "theres no saving this one" logic. They say those words because outright saying that it will be hard, expensive and painful to help them through the bad times doesnt illicit the same acceptance in the undoctrinated. My thoughts have always been, if this was a human, would you just "put them down"? Ope, grandma got sick, this ol girl is just going to suffer, time to take her out back. The whole "animals dont think like we do" so theyre less worthy of our due care is the most capitalistic mentality because the world sees animals as things, not living creatures. Theyre property, not a soul. Its gross, and I hate it.
