As law enforcement you should never ask "Did X do this to you?". This puts suggestions in the mind of the person. Rather you should be asking "Who did this to you?". EDIT: I know its a show. I know people are corrupt irl. I know that he is technically in the guys basement. My statement is still factually accurate. It is not a good idea to ask leading questions of witnesses.
